Talking Gibberish!
This drama exercise helps each learner to portray their emotions through facial expression and body language as well as understanding the use of pitch, tempo, emphasise and pace. Making up your language can be so much fun. You can also try using a language that only involves you saying fruit and vegetable names or using one or two starting letters etc. Make sure you think of what emotion you are trying to portray to the other character or characters. What do you do with your hands, arms and body when you are feeling this emotion and how can you capture emotion on your face. How do you speak? Softly. loudly, quickly, slowly, high or low, etc.
